This qualification reflects the skills and knowledge required for skilled and paraprofessional work in conservation and ecosystem management.
This course provides for advanced skills including supervisory roles in a broad range of conservation and ecological work or can focus on areas of specific needs including supervisory and Indigenous land management and ecosystem management.
Course Overview
This diploma delivers a range of blue and green ecosystems conservation and management skills, such as survey and reports on environmental and cultural sites, preparing ecological restoration projects development, implementation of sustainable land use strategies, improved ecological sustainability land production and development of awareness, environmental rehabilitation as well as development, application and monitoring of Aboriginal culture and protocols.
The course is designed to survey and report on Aboriginal cultural sites, prepare a design for an ecological restoration project in conservation or for ecosystem management, develop and implement sustainable land use strategies that lead to improve ecological sustainability of land under production , develop awareness of, and apply the protocols of Aboriginal culture, manage and implement a biosecurity emergency control program , prepare a fauna management plan, including controlling or maintaining fauna populations.
