Envirotech Education has yesterday been announced as the latest winner of the Mayors Innovation Award for July at the recent Gold coast Excellence Award function in Surfers Paradise.
Envirotech Director, Shelly Bengiat, said, “It is an honour to receive the Mayor's Innovation GC Award as a reward for our on going business efforts to apply innovation through new knowledge, technologies, methodologies or processes to improve the effectiveness and quality of outcomes learners and industries on the Gold Coast and across the world.”
“We have received this award for our unique and ongoing efforts to include environmental awareness across each of the courses delivered at Envirotech.
Specifically, we are pleased to be recognised for the effort we are undertaking to create the worlds first vocational training programs for Marine Habitat conservation and Restoration.”
Shelly continued with;
“This course will provide students with a pathway to gain skills for employment in marine projects involving the conservation and/or restoration of habitats for marine life. This could include restoring coral reefs, sea grass beds, mangrove forests, and even works such as artificial reefs where a marine habitat component is affected by - or included in the scope of the work.”
The future is bright for Envirotech
Moving forward, Envirotech aspires to be an educator focused on sustainability, and continuing to create the new Marine Habitat Conservation and Restoration course.
As we look ahead towards the end of the second decade of operations, the vision is to expand the online education services side of the business, providing practical education packages to support job seekers around the world in vocations that require environmental and sustainability qualifications.
