Certificate II in Business

The Certificate II in Business is the entry level qualification for people pursuing an administrative position, or wishing to enhance their work-ready skills.
Office administration is a fundamental requirement of all business operations. This qualification provides the foundation for learner’s to enter most working environments and industries.
Whether you want to upgrade your existing skills or pursue a new career, this course will prove invaluable. This course is Austudy approved for domestic students. Please apply directly to Centrelink to receive this benefit. International students are not eligible for this government assistance.
For eligible applicant this training is funded by the NSW Government in partnership with the Commonwealth Government. This does not indicate that this course is fully funded or free of charge.
This program is a full-time course completed over a period of 18 academic weeks plus 3-6 weeks holiday depends on your intake date.
Each academic week comprises of 20 hours of study.
Each academic week comprise of two face to face full days and five hours home project.
Certificate II in Business comprises a total of 12 units, including 1 core unit and 11 electives. There are no pre-requisites for this course.

Envirotech Institute of Education reserves the right to amend course structure and subject content to meet changing industry demands.
Job roles and titles vary across different industry sectors. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include:

Licensing, Legislative, Regulatory or Certification Considerations
There is no direct link between this qualification and licensing, legislative and/or regulatory requirement.
Students must be at least 18 years of age at time of course commencement.
Overseas students must show evidence of upper intermediate English language skills (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent). Envirotech has an internal English placement test for assessing students’ LLN abilities and skills prior to commencing the course.
All students require a laptop computer for in class studies. Envirotech has backup computers in case of unforeseen circumstances which may be used for a limited timeframe of 2 weeks. After which it will be necessary for students to purchase their own computer.
Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC)
International students are required by the immigration law to hold a mandatory OSHC by approved provider for the entire duration of their student visa. Envirotech takes responsibility to arrange students’ health cover through the services of Medibank Private.
At Envirotech our flexible delivery modes are designed to optimise your precious time.
- Classroom – Classes are set with calendar over 15 hours contact per week and 5 hours flexible delivery. International students MUST enrol in a face to face class delivery mode.The two face to face days consist of one delivery and one assessment day. the students may choose to complete the 5 hours flexible component either from campus or outside the campus.
- Workplace or School – Trainer delivers on site with client
- Blended Learning – Periodic Workshops and Distance Learning
- Online– available through Envirotech’s online system
- RPL – Recognised Prior Learning
Credit Transfer and RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning)
Credit may be given either through recognition of previous relevant study or through application of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). If you have valid experience in the proposed qualification and you wish for it to be recognised or credited, please discuss this prior to or during enrolment, as any recognition will affect your course duration.
